To Whom it may concern,
I would really love to send food, clothing, or
medical aid to any of the countries. Where can I find
information as to what is needed and where to send it?
My contribution may be miniscule, but I would truely
like to help in anyway possible.
Please and thank you.

Hi Melanie,

I was sent this mail from a contact in India, hope it helps. Although it gives details on how to send money (i'm aware that many people don't have the means to do that), it also gives some contact details for people who may be able to help you get supplies to Sri Lanka. God bless. Fiona.

Sewalanka Foundation has launched an appeal for the people affected by the tsunami in Sri Lanka.

Sewalanka Foundation has offices in all the coastal districts affected by the tsunami and is receiving urgent requests from survivors. Those that have survived are now in urgent need of basic supplies like cooked food, drinking water, dry rations and cooking utensils.

In order to facilitate these purchase we have established a separate bank account where money can be directly donated by those concerned and wishing to help. The details are:

Account Holder: Sewalanka Foundation
Bank: Hatton National Bank, Boralesgamuwa, Sri Lanka
Swift Code: HBLILKLX
Account Number: 1120097748

Details on how to assist Sewalanka in their emergency relief efforts can be found on their website:
